A sexuality expo run by disability
service provider Northcott won a major
award at the recent 2014 New South
Wales Disability Innovation Awards.
The inaugural Feel the Vibe sexuality
and disability expo, held in Parramatta
earlier this year, was joint winner of the
Minister’s Award for Excellence along
with My Choice Matters – the NSW
Consumer Development Fund.
The award recognises Northcott’s
innovative, creative and adaptive
approach to maximising opportunities
and choices for the people it supports.

wanted it to and that’s why we’re
here – to work alongside people with

alliance with Minda, South Australia’s
leading non-government disability
support organisation.
The move has secured the jobs
of nearly 140 South Australians,
including 75 supported workers.
SA Group Enterprises (SAGE)
owns Inprint Design, publisher of
Link Disability Magazine, as well as
Aspitech, which recycles electronic
goods; Wire Ware, which manufactures
and sells display equipment; and YES,
a specialist employment agency for
people who are hearing impaired.
Prior to announcement of the
amalgamation, the future of SAGE
was uncertain due to supply chain
issues in the erecycling industry which
had placed its Aspitech division under
significant financial stress.

held at Sydney’s Shangri La Hotel.
